Effective for all VPS orders at The Chosen Host
By placing a VPS order, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the following terms:
Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on all VPS services:

Email spam or bulk unsolicited messaging: Any form of spam, including but not limited to email spam, forum spam, comment spam, or bulk unsolicited communications

Mail servers without prior authorization: Operating mail servers or requesting PTR record modifications without explicit written approval and verification of legitimate email operations

IRC daemons (IRCd): Running Internet Relay Chat daemon services

Resource-intensive operations: Scripts, applications, or processes that significantly degrade server performance, consume excessive bandwidth, or impact network infrastructure

Network disruption: Any activity that impairs the functionality of our infrastructure, other customers’ services, or external networks

TOR exit nodes or proxy services: Operating anonymization services, proxy networks, or similar infrastructure without prior written consent
-
Illegal content or activities: Any content or actions that violate Indian law, international law, or the laws of the jurisdiction where content is accessed
PTR Record Requests
PTR (reverse DNS) record modifications will only be granted after:

Verification of legitimate business use case

Confirmation of proper SPF, DKIM, and DMARC email authentication setup

Demonstration of anti-spam measures and email sending practices
-
Agreement to maintain clean IP reputation
We reserve the right to deny PTR requests or revoke previously granted PTR records if abuse is detected.
Resource Usage Guidelines
VPS services must:

Not consume resources in a manner that degrades shared infrastructure performance
-
Maintain reasonable CPU, memory, disk I/O, and bandwidth utilization
-
Not impact the availability or performance of other customers’ services
The Chosen Host reserves the right to define and enforce specific resource thresholds and usage limits. Customers exceeding these limits will be required to demonstrate that their usage complies with this policy or upgrade to appropriate service tiers.
Enforcement
Upon detection of policy violations, The Chosen Host may:

Suspend service immediately without prior notice if critical violations are detected

Notify you of the violation and required corrective actions

Terminate service for repeated or severe violations

Report illegal activities to appropriate law enforcement authorities
Service suspensions due to policy violations:

Do not relieve you of payment obligations for the remainder of your contract term
-
May result in data loss if not resolved within specified timeframes
-
May incur reinstatement fees
Verification Requirements
The Chosen Host reserves the right to:

Request additional documentation to verify legitimate use cases

Perform periodic compliance audits
-
Monitor resource usage and network traffic patterns to ensure policy compliance
Liability
You are solely responsible for:

All content and activities on your VPS

Ensuring compliance with this policy

Any damages, claims, or legal issues arising from policy violations
